Children's Lesson Materials:

Summertime is a time for swimming and boating for many of us. Did you even notice how many times a boat plays into Bible passages and stories?

1. Top-Ten- Boats in the Bible, pdf attached below.

o This will be useful with your older elementary and middle schoolers. You may want to discuss common themes or messages within each of the ten Bible passages. {examples: listening to God, trusting God, and following Jesus}

2. All ages will enjoy the following:

o Jonah, chapters 1 - 3: 1-3. Jonah and the Fish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOSadLyqshg&t=6s

§ Potential talking points on the lessons we learn from Jonah's story (for your older elementary and middle schoolers):

§ We can't hide from God.

§ Things go very wrong when we don't listen to God. When we listen to God, things go the right way.

§ God gives us another chance.

§ God gives us the courage, the wisdom, and the strength to do His will

3. A fun song about Noah's Ark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSxd9JVE3r4

4. Jonah and the Whale coloring page (see attachment below)

Rev. Vinod I. Gnanaraj, Pastor

First Presbyterian Church

The Enemy is working hard to seed fear and selfishness in this wilderness season, but God is speaking peace and is offering us the gifts of patience, joy, and love beyond these circumstances. Walk in the Spirit of peace and cling to God’s purpose of bringing blessing to one another, and the Enemy’s efforts will come to nothing.

Please stay in contact! If you have needs, please contact Pastor Caleb by phone at 585-538-4620 or email at PastorCMatthews@gmail.com. Tithes and offerings can be mailed to the church at 3177 Church Street, Caledonia, NY 14423.

The Session will continue to monitor official recommendations and keep you updated. God bless and keep you in his peace.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
